Flower batata chi bhaji as we know in marathi or Aloo Gobi as known in other languages. This combination of cauliflower florets with potatoes are loved by one and all.
Ingredients:
• ½ kg cauliflower cut into medium sized florets
• 2 medium sized potatoes chopped
• 1 medium sized onion chopped
• 1 medium size tomato chopped
• ½ tsp ghati masala
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 1 tsp asafoetida
• ½ tsp turmeric powder
• salt as required
• Handful of fresh coriander leaves
• 2 tbsp. Oil
• Water as required Method:
• In a bowl add water, salt and add cut cauliflower florets. Set aside for a while.
• Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, turmeric powder and asafoetida.
• Add cauliflower florets and saute. Saute this for a while, it gives good flavor to your curry and raw smell of cauliflower will also go off.
• Add chopped potatoes, onion and tomato and mix it properly.
• Add Ghati masala and saute it continuously on high flame for about 2-3 minutes.
• Add salt as per taste and mix well.
• Press and cover with a small plate. Let it cook on a medium flame for about 4-5 minutes till both potatoes and cauliflower are completely cooked. (Do not add water to this mixture. cauliflower and potatoes will cook with the help of steam).
• Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
